We have not visited Montreal, but have spent a week in Old Quebec City. My husband can speak French a Little, I do not. This was a wonderful week. I would say it has been one of my best memories. No trouble makeing myself understood. Did really help with the driving to have one of us able to understand the signs. We will for sure go back. Very romantic, always something to do.
